In order to bond with Malaysia legal community and business community , and to promote layout of “Belt and Road” legal service of Capital Equity Legal group(CELG), from July 7th ,2017 to July 8th ,2017, CELG Director Mr Chen Youxi led the team along with CELG international department lawyers Jing Lei, Hu Xiyan visiting Malaysia for investigation and exchange.


On the morning of July 7th 2017, the first leg of this visit was Jeff Leong, Poon&Wong (JLPW) head office in Kuala Lumpur (B-11-8, Level 11, Megan Avenue II, Jalan Yap Kwan Seng, 50450 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia). Three funding partners of JLPW Mr Jeff Leong, Mr Kenny Poon and Mr James Wong gave a warm reception to CELG delegation. JLPW is a famous Southeast Asia law firm and was founded in 1999, which also owns lawyer agencies in 7 countries and sending lawyers in India, Japan and South Korea. 


During the period of visiting in JLPW, Mr Chen Youxi held a lecture on "China's Investment Environment and Legal Risk Control". He analyzed lawyers 'career development, lawyers' professional groups, lawyer's business distribution and lawyer's income to introduce the situation of the legal service industry in China. Then, he expounded the five investment risks including the risk of social system, the policy risk, the legal risk, the risk of the environment and the risk of judicial injustice. Finally, he gave detailed analysis to answer the participants' questions about "the comparison of international litigation and arbitration", "the relationship between the grassroots government policy and the higher level government" and "the transformation of Chinese legal profession". Dato’ Amos Siew B.Y. (Siewboonyeiong & Associates Accounting Firm chartered accountant and JLPW lawyer), Chong Kwang Fock (Siewboonyeiong & Associates Accounting Firm chartered accountant), and Crowe Horwath Accounting Firm partners Chin Kit Seong, Ooi Song Wan, and Chong Tuck Wai participated this lecture.


On the afternoon of July 7th 2017, CELG delegation visited MALAYSIA-CHINA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE (MCCC). Dato’Teh Kim (Teh Kim Teh, Salina&Co. Advocates & Solicitor principal partner) and lawyer Thomas Chin (J Nee Advocates &Solicitors partner), on behalf of MCCC, welcomed the arrival of CELG delegation. Both parties had an in-depth discussion about China's investment environment. During the meeting, lawyer Teh Kim Teh shared his failure to invest in China more than 20 years ago, which fully confirmed the theory of CELG general director Chen’s morning lecture. Therefore, both parties unanimously agreed that investors must find a professional lawyer team to do detailed due diligence before investment.

 

On the night of July 8, 2017, CELG general director Chen Youxi held a lecture entitled "How to Avoid the Crime of MLM and Collectivism" for Malaysian entrepreneurs.


CELG general director Chen Youxi and his entourage visited Malaysian law firms, enterprises and the chamber of commerce, shared experiences of legal services and classic cases with Malaysian legal profession and representatives of the business community, and helped Malaysian industry colleagues and business entrepreneurs to better understand China’s investment environment and the importance of investment risks management. Meanwhile, this visit also laid the foundation for CELG services on "Belt and Road" initiative.
